When they called the teachers up front to recognize them.
Douglas County held "September Saturdays" and we took Caroline to work at the pony rides. She spent the night with us last night, and we took her to the courthouse this afternoon. It was actually a lot of fun! Along with the pony rides, there were booths where people were selling things, there were lots of old cars and "mo-mo's" (motorcycles), singers, and jumpy things to name some of the activities. They also recognized the teachers in the county, and I had to go up front.
We ate our lunch sitting by the horses, and the whole time, Pax kept saying, "neigh-neigh". He was so excited to see them and be so close!! When it came time to actually ride, he got a little nervous, and we had to coax him into it. Once the horse starting moving, he relaxed, and enjoyed himself! He was super tired, though, and you can see the sleepy eyes in the pictures! He was such a good sport about this whole day, because he woke up at 8, and we didn't leave until 2:30, when he finally fell asleep on the way home!
