"Wii would like to play"

Aunt Steph and Micah

They are starting to actually notice each other:-)

I believe Micah is kissing Pax's hand

They did a really good job sharing the water bottles!

The boys after their bath

Yes, we broke down yesterday and bought a Wii! I had seen the Wii fitness and thought it would be fun for me to use to workout, and Brad was game for it. So, we went out to get one yesterday. Man, those things are in high demand! We had a very difficult finding one, but Brad finally got one of the last few at Wal-mart. We also bought a new TV for the downstairs, and Brad set it all up the basement. Paxton enjoyed playing with the box, as you can see from the pictures.

Once it was all ready, Mick, Steph, and Micah came over to play. All four of us had fun with the games, but especially liked the bowling. :-) While the big boys played some more, Steph and I gave the little boys their first bath together.

Thanks Gi Gi Ma

Thank you, Gi Gi Ma, for letting us stay with you over the break! We had a great time, and appreciate you allowing us take over your house. All of Paxton's things can be overwhelming and can certainly get in the way! Thanks again! We love you!

Snapshots from Charleston

Pax and Grandma

Yummy!!

Pax and Great Aunt Cindy

Gi Gi Ma, Pax, and Grandma

Grandma and Gi Gi Ma kept Pax while Brad and I continued to celebrate our anniversary in Charleston. We stayed at a really nice hotel and ate some really delicious meals Monday night. The grandmas were in charge of Little Man over night. This was the second time that we left him for this long. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and morning. I specifically liked getting to sleep in, even if my body did wake up at 7 like usual:-)
If you ever get to Charleston, I recommend the Magnolia restaurant for a fancy dinner. Then, Jestine's Kitchen for some good home cooking! This restaurant has been mentioned by Rachel Ray and Oprah.
We are heading to Covington Thanksgiving day to celebrate with Brad's family there. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!

The World of Coke

Outside the World of Coke

Pax and Uncle Adam

Yes-the Coke polar bear was a little creepy-good thing Pax didn't know the difference

Pax and Pops

Uncle Adam did his duties by carrying Pax in his sling!:-)

The boys in their really cool glasses in the 4-D theater

Today, we met Uncle Adam, some of his friends from college, and Pops at the World of Coke. They had planned to go, and we wanted to see Adam, so we headed there after spending Friday night in Covington. It was a little cold, but we had a very fun time once we got inside. Paxton's favorite part was the 4-D theater! It was so cool, and Pax liked the moving seats! I was holding him in my lap and he would start jumping and "talking" when the seats would move, or the air would blow.
Also, he started moving last night. We were at Nannie's house and she was on the floor with him, and he started moving/crawling/scooting to get to the coasters on the floor. I didn't have my camera, so I couldn't document this first, but Brad and I were both there to witness it!! He is getting on all fours and moving forward, and then he realizes he can pull to scoot his body where he wants to go. So exciting!!!

4 years ago today

So, it's been 4 years since Brad and I said "I do". It's amazing how things have changed since 11-20-04. We now have a precious son in our lives. It was a little different planning our anniversary with Pax to think about. So, Bonnie and Alison came over to watch him while Brad and I went out to dinner. We made it home in about an hour. We managed to talk about things other than Paxton while we were there, too! This was only the third date that we've been on, and this includes the night we went camping!

Mondays with Mimi

Almost two months ago, Brad's company went to 4-day work weeks. Now, Brad only has to drive an hour and a half (1 way), 4 days a week! Plus, that means Pax gets to spend a day with his Daddy each week! Being that Brad's mom, Mimi, works for the same company, she, too, works 4 days a week. She was able to work it so that she is off on Mondays, and then Brad is off on Fridays. So, Paxton rides to work with Brad on Monday mornings, and he and Mimi spend the day together. These pictures are an assortment from Pax's "Mondays with Mimi" from the last several weeks, and all the visitors that they entertain! :-)

Happy 7 months, Pax!

Today Paxton is 7 months old, and getting bigger every day. It seems as if he has a new "trick" every time we turn around. Saturday night we experienced the latest one. We had the Harper's over for dinner and he found his voice for the first time. He started screaming but not in an unhappy way at all. It's kind of cute at first, but it gets loud and old very fast. Steph said not to laugh and give him attention, but that doesn't seem to be his goal. I think he really just likes to hear himself.

Sunday, we took him out to lunch with Uncle DC, Aunt Cindy, and Katie, and we forewarned them of his new "trick". He lived up to this disclaimer about 30 minutes into lunch. It wasn't THAT embarrassing, but we were only at Fabiano's, too.
Some of his other new "tricks" are: getting up on all 4's from a sitting position and rocking (he'll be crawling very soon), sitting very well on his own, standing while holding onto the couch, rolling like crazy, and eating puffs just to name a few. I can't believe it was 7 months ago that he was born! Time flies!!

Here we go!

So, after experiencing a lot of peer pressure, I have finally broken down and started my own blog. I would like to point out the kicker being that there is a website that takes the posts made on here, and puts them into a scrapbook. Now that I spend all my extra time with Paxton, there isn't any time for scrapbooking. So, this was the next best option, and the only way to keep me from falling farther and farther behind. I don't promise to be as entertaining as Stephanie, as good with pictures as Suzie, or as thoughtful as Summer, but it will be a good attempt at capturing special moments for Paxton's scrapbook!

This is a Smile Box album that I made of Paxton's first Halloween.
