We had our church Easter egg hunt and gathering today. Before the hunt starts every year, the puppet ministry does a little skit on the true meaning of Easter. Then, we hunt eggs and enjoy ice cream. It was so beautiful outside, that we were some of the last ones to leave because we were playing on the play ground. Pax had a really fun afternoon. He filled up his Easter basket very quickly, and was content to just play.

Not just allergies

So, I thought that Pax was having issues with allergies, but I'm really glad that I took him to the doctor today.

He woke up in the middle of the night and was on fire. We took his temperature 3 different ways, and got 3 different readings. All showed that he had a fever, and I knew I couldn't take him to Mrs. Tracey's today.

I took him to the doctor at 11 this morning and it turns out that he has an ear infection and an upper respiratory infection. He had a fever of 101.8 when we were there, and he now weighs 31 pounds. He hadn't complained at all about his ear, so I was really shocked to hear that it was infected! Poor thing! He's so tough!

He is now on an antibiotic, and should get better soon!

Our Handsome Little Buckaroo

Pax got a hair cut yesterday, and looks so handsome! Plus, he's sporting some cowboy boots that we borrowed from Jake. I think he just looks so cute...and so big!!

We ended up buying him some boots of his own at the mall last night, because he liked them so much. Now he'll probably only want to wear his cowboy boots. We're just getting ready for his birthday Hoe-Down!

We met Jake and Kristin to play at Monkey Joe's, and had such a great time! The boys played really well together, and followed each other around the whole place! Pax went up the big slide and down all by himself. I was impressed that he could climb up for the first time!

Happy St. Patty's Day, by the way! I completely forgot to dress my son in green for the day!!! :-( I know, I'm terrible! I just hope no one pinched him!

Priceless Moments

These are just some priceless moments that I want to document for Paxton's online scrapbook, and since I don't like to blog without pictures, here is a picture I took this afternoon!

He likes to rub and pat my back and make sure I have a blanket. So thoughtful!

We like to have bedtime conversations about the stars and the moon. Now, these aren't the actual stars and moon---instead he has a turtle that shines the moon and stars on his ceiling. He likes to point out all the stars on the ceiling!

One Sunday when he went up front for the children's sermone, I could hear him from the back of the church, as he said, "Amen" at the end of the prayer. I verified it was him when Dad brought him back to the pew.

Part of his bedtime routine is to kiss all his animals and make sure that Elmo has his paci. He also has to make sure that the Mama bear and baby bear are together.

I have started giving him one or two of my Juice Plus gummies in the morning, and at night, when I remember. Well, he is starting to help me remember. He'll go in the bathroom, open the drawer, and say, "Nummy, nummy." Yes, son, thanks for reminding me! I'm just happy to give him some extra fruits and veggies!

He likes to count things. He sometimes says, "uno, dos, tres," but most of the time he says, "1...2...3...5...6...7." So funny how he skips number 4.

We went to Brooks and Rochelle's Friday night. It took us about 2 hours to get there, but Pax was great! He watched his video two times. He was excited to get there and see the cows at the cow sale. I had never seen a cow sale, but it was quite interesting. Pax was totally enthralled, and didn't take his eyes off the cows the entire time! We left after Brooks' cow was sold, and headed to dinner with the whole family. Mimi and Papa came up for this event, and spent the night as well.

Saturday morning, Pax woke up early, and we got to spend some time outside with all of their animals. Pax went back and forth between the cow, the dogs, and the chickens. He had a blast splashing around in his rain boots, and making all the animal sounds. The weather was really nice, too! We had a lot of fun with the family and all the animals!

Mom took Pax to Chuck E. Cheese's and he had a blast. I haven't been since I was little, but from the pictures, I can tell that it's changed a lot. Mom said that there aren't any balls like there used to be! When I drive by there, he notices the restaurant and gets all excited. We'll have to take him back soon.

Spring is almost here!!

Adam came home for the first time since Christmas this weekend! We were so excited, but I don't think anyone was as excited as Pax!! On top of Adam coming home, the weather was absolutely beautiful! Spring is almost here, and we can't wait!

We just had to get outside and enjoy the spring weather, so we went to Clinton to play and run. Mom watched Pax, while Adam and I went for a run. Brad was out of town fishing, so Pax and I got to spend a lot of time with Adam on his short visit home. We'll take every minute we can though, because Adam is going to South Africa on a mission trip for 6 weeks this summer. That trip will be here before we know it! So, we want to see him as much as we can.

Okay, so Kellie (see the Imagine It! post) makes these towels that I use as my "go-to" gift for babies. It is the only towel that Pax can still use, and he loves them. He has 4 or 5 here, one at Mimi's and one at Grandma's. She uses an adult-sized towel so that it will fit when they are three or four, even! We love the hooded part, too!

I have gotten her a lot of orders from people wanting them as baby gifts, too. :-) I'm keeping her busy! If you need one, these are the best!
