Ft. Worth Stockyards

Riding the first, of many, mechanical horses/machines

This one went really fast and was jerky.

Paxton getting off before the ride was over because it needed to "slow down" as he said.

This one was better!

Having a blast!

Open-mouthed excitement

Watch out, Daddy! Don't get any closer!

He is squatting down here watching the "bunny rabbit" drink water

Petting the goat through the fence

Aunt Kathy holding him while he was petting the horse. In fact, he did so well with them, because he saw me turn my hand over to let the horse smell my hand before petting. He did that himself to every horse before he rubbed their noses!

Riding around the store on a stick horse testing out his cowboy hat as he's saying, "Giddy up, horsey!"

Aunt Kathy and Cowboy Paxton

What a cute, but worn out, cowboy!

We arrived in Texas around 9 am (TX time) this morning, so we had the whole day to spend with Brad's aunt Kathy. She took us down to the Ft. Worth stockyards, because we wanted to get Pax an authentic cowboy hat for his party. It was so neat, and had all kinds of fun shops. If you ask Pax what his favorite part was, he will say the big barn with the animals. We saw huge Texas Longhorns, tons of horses, and an array of smaller animals (goats, bunnies, "honk, honk"--a goose). He wasn't very happy when we walked out of the barn, even though we were heading to get his very own cowboy hat--he kept wanting to go back to the big barn. But, he was okay, when he saw all of these mechanical horses! The Stockyards were a very fun experience--we could have spent all day walking around!
