Dallas Stars Hockey Game

Uncle Ken works for the NHL and controls when there are commercial breaks, and how long they are. Pax got to go down and see him before the game started.

Pax was so excited, and he had fun watching the puck shoot across the ice. He was so well-behaved, even though it was a really late night for him!

The Dallas Stars coming out--soo cool!

Uncle Ken got us tickets to see the Dallas Stars play their last home game. It was more than just a game, because their number one player, Mike Modano, is retiring after an amazing hockey career. The game was so exciting, as Modano tied it up with an amazing goal! The game went into sudden death over time, and when no one scored, it went into a shoot out. Modano then scored the winning goal! At one point in the game, play was delayed for 3 minutes and 44 seconds because the crowd was giving Modano a standing ovation, and yelling for him to not retire. It was so moving, and there wasn't a dry eye in the stadium. This happened 2 more times, as well: one time being at the end of the game when all the players gave their sweaters to fans. Modano was the last one to give his up, and the fans cheered and cheered for him. He just took it all in, and got emotional himself. As he skated over to the other end of the ice, he grabbed one puck, and skated straight towards Brad, who had gone down to the 2nd row with Pax at this point. We had such great seats, and they just moved up a little bit. Modano skated over, and tossed the puck over the glass directly to Brad!! It was sooooo exciting, and Pax thought it was so cool, and wouldn't let anyone hold his puck! Then, after the game, Uncle Ken brought Pax out a puck that was actually used during the game! He was very protective of his two pucks, and he wanted to even sleep with them! Thanks, Ken and Kathy, for an incredible evening and the amazing seats. Such a memorable experience!!!
