He is growing up and really a toddler now. He is practically running around and has gotten taller, because he can reach things off shelves and tables that he couldn't reach before we left. Being gone 18 days, and not having internet access, I had to make a list of things that I wanted to put on the blog about how much he's changed. Doing so, really brought to my attention how much Pax has grown and how much more he can do now. So I want to put them in a list on here.
-He has learned a ton of new words, and is even starting to put 2 words together--good dog (as he patted Top Spin), happy, bird, fish, hat, hola, abre (open), tickle (and he goes for your feet), color, paci, Elmo, back, now-now, no no, Brooks, Bubba, Suzie, Sarah, and hi just to name a few.
-He started some new games, too--Being that we were close to the road (not busy at all), I wanted him to learn to stop when I said. So, we turned it into a "stop and go" game, and he did really well! It came in handy and he really stops. He even puts his hand up to signal it also.
--Being a little boy, he bumps his head all the time. While we were gone, he started needing it to be kissed every time anything touches his head, even a pillow! It's cute, though, because he holds his head and looks for me to kiss it. I don't mind!
--Mom has been telling him a secret for a long time now. She would say, "Let me to tell you a secret" and he would lean his ear toward her. She would whisper "I love you" in his ear. We've been trying to get him to tell us, but it wasn't until this vacation that he started saying it. It's so cute! He won't say it in your ear, but it's something like, "I-wuh-u".
--He started taking things and putting them on his head. Most of the time it was a hat, but it turned into anything that would rest on his head--a book, a teething ring (because 2 more molars came in), baby food containers, whatever he could find!
--Another game was with Gigi's chairs. She had shelf paper under the cushions, and Pax found it one of the first days there. He would pull it out, walk around, and then we would say to put it back, and he'd move it to a different chair as he said, "baaa" (back).
--He loved coloring, too. He colored a pretty picture that we mailed to Uncle Adam! He would see his crayons and say, "dudor" or something that sounds like that.
--Brad already has him playing baseball. Gigi bought him a little bat and ball, and Brad would put him in the stance, tell him to put two hands on the bat, and then one of us would kneel behind him to help him swing. He would do the hands and stance by himself at the end of the trip! We're in trouble already!
-We have been adding to his sign language--he now does sorry and thank you, too!
-He has learned some new animal sounds/motions--Mom taught him the monkey, tiger, and bear all with hand motions. They are too cute!
-Pax can now tell you parts of his face, too--hair, eyes, ears, mouth, nose. He even says some of them when he touches them!
