The fussiness and grumpiness make sense now--Pax is officially teething! Mimi and Papa were over here and we were checking out his gum from last weekend (which looks like it's actually missing some of it, because there's a hole), when I noticed a new tooth. It's not the one next to his other top teeth, rather it's one of his molars one tooth over! Then, he's got another tooth coming in next to the others on the other side. It all makes sense now!! I just hope that these fits that he's pitching will end with the teething as well!
The new teeth coming in are a visual reminder of how much he is growing and changing, so again, I'm going to jot down a few new things he's doing.
--He loves singing the itsy bitsy spider, and does the spider part, and "washed the spider out" part. At the end when it's over he puts his fingers together, and says "GEN".
--He can blow his nose. When you hold a tissue to his runny nose (thanks to the new teeth), and say "blow," he actually does it! It's pretty impressive!
--He can tell you what several animals say--sheep, cat, cow, dog, and a boat, too:-)
--Whenever he sees and apple, he says "apple", and then keeps on until he gets it. Then, he eats it whole. He bites it off and then chews. It's pretty cute. Sometimes, the skin gets him, so I hold my hand out, and he spits it out.
--He is obsessed with keys now. He says "keeeees" and then once he gets them, he takes them to a door, and tries to put 1 key in the door knob.
--Instead of calling me "momma", he has started calling me "Amy". It's so weird, and I correct him every time!
--He is pretty much eating everything we eat. In fact, Tuesday, he ate the exact same thing I ate at Monterrey's-a giant soft taco! Tonight he ate pizza with us.
--He'll tell you when he's ready for one of his 3 naps or bed. He gets his blanket, or his horse, and then brings it to you. Most of the time, he'll do the sign language for it as well.
--He gets off the couch the safe way (most of the time) by going feet first.
--Overall, he tries to understand and do what we say. It's amazing how much he seems to understand!
By the way, Strike went to a new home today! So, we'll have to go to Newnan to see him!
