| Oh, I love my boys!!! |
This is the first post (of several, I think) of pictures from the hospital of our sweet new addition!
Parker Brentley Dobbs was born Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 10:27 am. He weighed 7 pounds 3.4 ounces, and was 19 1/2 inches long. My c-section went very well, and we have a very healthy baby boy! Paxton was so excited to meet him, and was very proud. When visitors came, he thought they were all there to see him, and got very excited! He was showing off for several of them!!
Pax got to spend some time with us in the hospital, and I treasured that time as a family of 4! We stayed until Saturday, and then Pax came to the hospital to go ride home with us. He spent 4 nights at either Grandma and Pops's, or Mimi and Papa's house, and was ready to go to our house!
We had such a great experience in the hospital, and going home was actually bittersweet (for me). The nurses were great, and our preacher's wife, Magan, was actually charge nurse each night we were there! We were so lucky to have her and such great nurses!
The night Parker was born, he weighed 7 pounds even. The next night, he dropped to 6 pounds 11 ounces. The following night, he put back on 3 ounces to put him at 6.14. We were a little worried that he hadn't had a bowel movement for 36 hours (they like 1 every 24 hours), but he finally had one Saturday morning while we were waiting to be discharged from the hospital. My milk also came in Saturday morning. He was eating so well, already, that he was like a pro! It only took him 2 times until he learned what to do. The nurses were very impressed with his eating, as was I!:-)
He slept pretty well in the hospital, too! The second night, he even went 5 hours during the night! We actually got a lot of rest while we were there! This is just another of a million reasons why we are so blessed!!! We love him so much already!!!
