Zing. Zang. Zoom.

That is what the circus was called. However, it could be called, "Amazing. Wonderful. Incredible," or anything like that.
My two valentines walking in to the circus--look how excited Pax is!!

The elephant and the National Anthem

The elephants just kept coming and coming---this made Pax really excited!!

zebras--which Pax called "neighs"

Some amazing acrobatics-scary!

This dog was hopping around-Pax thought this was funny!

More incredible acrobatics-this platform was swinging in mid-air!

The tight rope was right by our seats.

This is without zooming in.

WOW! I sure couldn't do that!

Brad and Pax during intermission. It was really hot in there, and Paxton's cheeks got really red.

Clapping and dancing to the music.

He is wanting the elephants to come back. He's making the elephant sound, not pouting.

I finally got him to look at the camera, but not without a cheese face. We both look terrible in this picture.

I was so excited that I caught this acrobatic stunt at the right moment!

They're back!

Paxton yelling, "Go, go, go!" at the elephants! (I told you it was hot in there!)

Oh, he's so excited!

One woman riding the elephant on top, and another in the elephant's mouth! What????

More screaming and yelling at the elephants!

More elephant sounds

Pretty cool trick here!

The tigers or "shew" as Pax calls them and swishes his hand like a tiger.

They were not sweet, little cats. They hissed and growled at the handler. I'm just thankful for the chain fence!

Pretty impressive to get these wild beasts to perform like that, though.

Too excited watching the elephants!

Chilling with me

Mesmerized

Another elephant sound and face. He was posing like this, I didn't just happen to catch him with one eye closed. He called the elephants back out like this.

Guess what he's doing here, too????
We took Pax to see the circus tonight, and I honestly didn't expect him to enjoy it quite as much as he did. Even though it's late, I have to get these pictures up and blog while it's still fresh on my mind. It was too exciting to miss any part of it!

We had fantastic seats, so we could see it all! Pax enjoyed all the acts, but especially went crazy over the elephants! He even enjoyed the clowns (I was a little worried he would be scared of them)! The only thing that he got a little antsy with were the acrobats, which Brad and I thought were incredible. They do some pretty daring and dangerous things. In fact, one guy got hurt on one of the stunts. But, he came back out a few minutes later and did another incredible stunt!

The whole show was amazing, but I have to talk about Paxton's experience with the elephants. If you ask him his favorite part of the circus, it would be the elephants. He can say "elephant," however, he prefers to make the sound and do his arm. So, the elephants came out in the beginning and paraded around. They kept coming out from backstage. There ended up being 11 in all, and Pax was so excited to see them. Then, they left pretty quickly. Pax continued to make the sound and ask for them the rest of the first half.

The second half came and there were tigers. Pax thought this was pretty cool, but he still wanted the elephants. They came out and did some tricks and performed for a little bit. By this time, he was so excited, that he was jumping up and down, and screaming! Brad and I just looked at each other and were so happy to see him having so much fun! He kept screaming, and clapping any time they did something. The elephants did a trick where they grabbed the tail of the one in front of them and walked around the arena. When they did this, Pax starts yelling, "Go, go, go!" It was pure joy and excitement, as he watched the elephants perform. You can see in the pictures how truly excited he was!!! After this part, he was even more sad to see them go backstage. He turned to me, and made the sound because he wanted them to come back out.

The rest of the show, he pretty much sat in my lap or Brad's, and would clap and dance, but NOTHING like when the elephants were out. In fact, when they came out one last time, it was getting pretty late by this time, and Pax had asked for his paci and his blanket (which I didn't have in the circus), and told me "night-night". He had just gotten comfortable and I thought he might fall asleep, when the elephants came out for the final part of the show. His excitement turned right back on again! It makes me smile just remembering how happy he was! I really haven't seen anything else that he gets this excited about!

This was the perfect Valentine's Day gift! I just loved seeing the wonder and amazement in my son's eyes as he watched the show (well, specifically the elephants)!

Brad had to work hard to pull us both!

Pops and Grandma's house covered in snow

Mom took this really pretty picture of the bird house.

Brad measured the snow this morning at 3 and 1/4 inch. I know it was higher yesterday.

Yesterday we didn't have school because snow was scheduled to come in. I didn't think it would, and Pax and I even went to school and ran some errands in the morning. Then, we headed to Grandma's, and around 1:00, it started snowing like crazy!!!! I couldn't believe how hard it was snowing, and how fast it covered the ground. It made everything a winter wonderland. Pax had so much fun playing in it!

The beautiful snow was even still there when we woke up today. So, we played some more today. The sun was out and the sky was blue, and our snow is now gone. :-( But, we enjoyed it while it lasted!

We had fun building a snow man, and taking tons of pictures with him. We also had a blast sledding. Pax didn't really like to go by himself, so Brad had to pull us both around. It was fun until today, when we went feet first into a tree. That part made me thankful that I was on there with Pax. We also had some great snow ball fights. Pax even participated, and made his own snow balls to throw. He was so proud of himself! We had such a fun time, and didn't mind that we were snowed in at Pops and Grandma's house. We just hope we get rain checks for the circus we missed last night!

Pax and Aunt Tori

Brad's aunt, Tori, and her husband, Rodney, are celebrating 25 years of marriage, and we went to their party. It was such a sweet party and people got to share memories and funny stories about them. Brad got up there and brought a tear to everyone's eyes with his sweet stories. Then, Sam, their son, wrote the most heartfelt letter and I don't think there was a dry eye in the place when they were done reading it aloud. He had such sweet things to say about both of his parents and the role model that they have been and continue to be to him.

C-Dawg Comes to Play

Pretty girl

Playing ball in the kitchen--one of his favorite things to do--he even tells you where he wants you to sit when you play

Caroline got to come over and play this afternoon. Paxton just loves her. He doesn't say her name very clearly at all, but it's still cute. He says C-Dawg much better. I used to call her that when she was younger and I used to babysit her!
I enjoyed the time with them, but also enjoyed this chance to blog a little bit, too! Thanks, Caroline!

We were playing and testing out his letter skills while she was here. I wrote her name on the magna-doodle (his favorite toy lately), asked him to point out the letter "a", and he did. I figured it was a fluke, so we tried the "e" and the "o". He was correct with those, too. I still wasn't convinced so we asked him to show us random letters in a magazine and around the house. He could do those, too. I really don't know if this is true or not, but he was doing it tonight. Brad's not home yet, so we're hoping to show him, but I'm not going to cross my fingers!

Before the letter excitement, we went in his closet, and he pointed to his jacket and said, "green". Yes, his jacket is bright, kelly green. Good job, Buddy! He sure was showing off for Caroline tonight!

Pure Fun

Last night, Suzie and I went to meet Summer at Pure Taqueria in Woodstock. She has been working there for a little while, and we've heard how good the food was. We have been trying to schedule this, and were really excited that we made it up there. Mom and Dad took Pax to see Uncle Adam, so we had some great girl time and hung out! We had fun eating and sitting around talking, and the food was just as wonderful as we've heard! Thanks, girls, for the fun night!
