The Most Incredible Wedding Ever

Liz (the groom's sister) and me--I just love her!

Mom had to get a picture with Hairy, too!

We sent this picture to Pax, who was staying with Mimi and Papa!

Mr. and Mrs. James Robson

All the Moms from the Destin Diva group. The groom's mother, Michele, is in light blue.

The awesome band!

So, I thought our wedding reception was fantastic and I had so much fun. But, I have to say that James and Kate Robson's wedding was the best ever! They went above and beyond on the entire reception that was held at the Atlanta History Center! The band was incredible and was almost more of a concert. In case we ever need an 11 member band for anything, I want to document that they were called Complete Desire. Hehe! The food was outstanding as well, but the coolest thing was when THE Hairy Dog came in. I just thought it was like any other mascot where you just get a costume and someone puts it on. But, no, the actual UGA mascot came to the reception! Once I realized that, I had to get some piictures!:-) Then, towards the end of the really long reception, they served gelato. Yummy!!! Then, when the bride and groom left, we marched down West Paces Ferry Road, Mardi Gras style, to their hotel, with the band leading the way. The whole thing was such a cool experience that I was just glad to be a part of!!!! No telling how much the entire day cost!

Fun at the Water Park

We went to The Georgian with Stephanie and the kiddos. This neighborhood has the coolest "pool" ever! I use the term pool loosely, because it's not even a pool---it's truly a waterpark, complete with a big tunnel slide. The kids had so much fun in the zero entry pool just playing on the slides and in the water spray. Steph and I had a great time catching up! I'm so glad we got to do this!! So fun!!!

29 week update

Wow! Check out that belly!

The best picture she could get of Baby Parker, as he was head down, face backwards.

I had a great check up for my 29 week visit! My glucola test came back all good, and my amniotic fluid levels are now where they should be. According to the ultrasound, Parker weighs 3.7 pounds and has "lots of hair." He also has a really big head and long legs. Mrs. Jean said that he is no longer in the 90th percentile like last time, but is now in the 75th. The worst news was that I gained 7 pounds in 2 weeks!! I'm telling you, vacation was good to me!!!:-)

I hadn't seen Dr. S in 3 months, so I had lots of questions for her, and it was great to see her. We are scheduling my c-section at my next visit on August 2. I'm so excited and can't wait to have a date set for Parker's BIRTH day!!!!!

Celebrating My Birthday

I love Summer's face in this!!!

Courtney, Suzie, Jami, Lauryn, Summer, Jenny, and me

I went out with the girls to celebrate my birthday at La Tavola in the Highlands. It was a yummy dinner followed by frozen yogurt after. I can't even tell you how delicious the cake batter frozen yogurt is!!! We had a very fun time with LOTS of laughs! It was great to see the girls and catch up!

Chautauqua Lake--Part II

At the Jamestown Jammers Baseball game

He hasn't liked Bubba in the past, but he had pumped himself up to see him this year and Bubba was the first thing we saw as we walked into the baseball game!

Swimming in the lake. The water was surprisingly warmer than it has been in the past!

Uncle Adam pulling Pax in the kayak

Adam and Brad on Jim's boat

The view of the bridge from the boat

Mr. Jim let him drive the boat!

He got to toot the horn and thought it was HILARIOUS!!!

Happy Birthday, Brad!

Brunch at Hotel Lenhart

There were 3 baby deer in our front yard!

Pax and Gigi

This is what our living room looked like once we got home!

We had an amazing time at the lake! Pax enjoyed all the freedom of being able to go outside and play all day long and whenever he wanted! The guys all left to go home Saturday morning, and Pax, mom, and I stayed with Gigi 4 more days. Pax missed all the guys and being able to rough house with them, but had to find other entertainment! :-) One of his favorite things was not necessarily all the toys we went and bought at yard sales, but make shift drums that he found around the cottage!!! He played them almost non-stop, and they were LOUD, as two were cookie tins!!

The morning we had to leave, we asked Pax if he was ready to go. At first he said, "No," but then he said that he missed his toys at home and wanted to go play his drums and his swords! So silly. Therefore, the last picture above is the aftermath of playing at home for a few short minutes. He took EVERYTHING out of the toy boxes and had fun! It was amazing to see how excited he was about his toys that he hadn't seen in 2 weeks.

Hiking in the woods. It was chilly!!!! High of only 63 on Wednesday!

Playing with his new toys from our yard sale and thrift store shopping!

Playing around at Chautauqua

We took this for Aunt Sarah:-) She has her own hall named after them!

Sleeping with his buddy. (Not staged--Pax was sound asleep!)

Brad and Pops brought the bike trailer up and that was the first thing Pax wanted to do!

Loving his trailer! He is set with a snack and drink before every ride!

Family baseball game:-)

We went to a concert on the floating stage in Bemus Point.

Gigi and Pax

Pax has REALLY enjoyed helping everyone cook! Here they are preparing my birthday cobbler! Yummy!

We sure are enjoying our time at the lake, and we still have one more week! Pax and I flew up

last Tuesday on Gigi's birthday and spent a couple days with Mom and Gigi before the guys came in over the weekend. Pax had a whole list of things he wanted to do once Daddy, Pops, and Uncle Adam got here. His list included, build a bon fire, play baseball, get the ball he hit on the roof, get the creature in the attic, go for a bike ride, and on and on. :-)

Pax's new favorite statement is, "Dontcha want to..." and then fills in the blank with anything like, play cars, eat something, dig a hole, play baseball, etc. It's pretty funny to hear a 3 year old say that!:-)

We celebrated the fourth of July by hanging out and then my cousin, Lacey came over with her family. Colby and Pax are 6 months apart and really enjoyed playing together! They hung out for dinner and then the bon fire and fireworks show.

My 30th birthday today was low-key, and I enjoyed time with family! It was exactly what I wanted to do! We rode bikes to Bemus Point to eat some incredible New York Parmesan chicken wings!! Then, I took my afternoon nap and we went to dinner at a nice Italian restaurant. We completed the evening with my favorite dessert of all time, the one that won me over--Brad's apple cobbler, and a game of cards. Just right!

I'm so glad that we still have another week left to relax and play in the wonderful weather! There will be more pictures to come!
