SIX FLAGS

On the carousel-we look like drowned rats from Thunder River. But, it cooled us down!!

The train had just arrived, so Pax didn't want to look at the camera.

Pax and Brad on the balloons

Pax and Ella on the ferris wheel. Ella didn't really like it, but was such a good sport for Pax.

It was a hot day, and they enjoyed the mist!

Pax loved these swings!

He and Ella LOVED playing with the swinging carrots!

On the Monster Plantation

Waiting at the train station

Pax drove and I just pressed the gas. Scary, huh!?

We went to Six Flags today and had a blast! Ashleigh and a girl that she is babysitting for, Ella, went with us. Ella was so good with Pax, and the two of them really had fun together! I really didn't think Pax would be able to do anything other than the kid rides, but he did anything I wanted to do!!! His first ride was the Log Ride, and he LOVED it! He said "More!" as soon as we came down the big hill! His mouth was wide open and having a blast. He also rode Thunder River, and he and I got stuck under the waterfall! Again, he wanted "More!" I am so proud of what a big boy he was, and all the rides that he rode!!! The only part that scared him a little was Monster Plantation. They have redone that ride, and it was cute. However, the second half of the ride did get a little scary, and one part startled me! Pax didn't cry, but he didn't want to ride that one again! I didn't think that we would stay long, but there was so much to do, and Pax and Ella were having so much fun. There were some rain drops and we wanted lunch, so we left before we got to go to the water park part-Skull Island. We are going to have to go back now!! Aunt Sarah said she'd go with us next time!:-)

Visiting South Carolina

;Adam's house

That smile didn't leave his face the whole time Uncle Adam was around!!

Miri and Pax--2 peas in a pod here! (Pax is 11 months younger than Miri)

Where are you guys off to now?

Ummm-what's going on? I walked in to find Miri and Pax in her bed!

I think Pax is trying to escape! ;-)

Graeme is only 3 weeks old---he's so tiny and beautiful!

The Hynes family-Judi, Graeme, Miri, and Patric

After tennis, Mom, Pax, and I drove up to SC to see Adam and hang out with him a little bit. We got to see the house that he's renting, and then we went to the head coach's house for dinner. We spent the night at a really nice hotel, and then Pax and I got to hang out at the pool while Mom and Adam took care of getting his car tag. Pax had fun playing with his giant play buddy and also Miri.

with Ash who also taught

Wow, I look ROUGH! I'm telling you, cardio tennis is intense! You burn a bunch of calories!

Ready to go. Helping to carry one of the bags to Grandma.

One of the games

Paxton had his first tennis lessons. He has now had 3 lessons and is really having fun. They aren't really playing much tennis, just a bunch of games. They do this, while we do cardio tennis. Great set up, huh? We get to exercise while the kids are entertained. Mom's been wanting me to come to cardio, but I haven't had anything to do with Pax until now.

Steph and I are so excited that the boys are starting so young. After all, we have an adorable picture of the 2 of us at the same ages as the boys during our first tennis lessons. I'm going to have to search for that picture.

Gone Off the Deep End

I just had to take a video of Pax jumping into the deep end of the pool. Yes, this was a little scary for me at first!! He really is starting to "swim" and he's making great progress! He is becoming such a fish!

I want to document some of the things that we have been working on. They are: getting to the side of the pool and pulling himself up, lots of kicking (big kicks and baby kicks), blowing bubbles, jumping off and then swimming to the steps, holding his breath, swimming to the ladder and swim out in the deep end, and using his hands to paddle just to name a few.

The B's at the Park

Pierce--isn't he precious?!?!

Pax enjoying the really cool playground

Peek-a-boo

Okay-so he is WAY too big for this sling, but I just had to try!!

Oblivious to the fact that Summer is kissing him! Just has his smile pasted on!!!:-)

We headed to a nice little park in Atlanta to enjoy some time with the Berry B's before Caroline headed to Oklahoma. It was extremely hot, but fun to hang out with the girls. Pax really liked the playground, too!

The Harper Family

Pax, Me, Micah, Steph, and Hayden

Best friends

Suzie, Steph, me, and Sarah

May 23rd

There are two parts to this post. The first four pictures are from Stephanie's surprise birthday party. There were a lot of people, and we had a really fun time! We are glad that we got to celebrate this special day!

June 3rd

Stephanie's 30th birthday was June 1st, and Suzie, Sarah, and I took her out to dinner the following Thursday night to celebrate. We had such a great time laughing and talking. We could have stayed all night, I think!!! It was nice to be without kids and finish a conversation. Hope you had a fabulous birthday, Steph!! Love you!

Update

So, I have been so far behind, and am trying to get caught up. However, it's not looking too bright for that to happen. Even though school is out, and teachers are finishing up this week, my Specialist classes have cranked up and are really kicking my bumper! Three classes are ESPECIALLY hard, and I am only able to focus on one week at a time.

But, I wanted to update a few things---We had a great Memorial Day weekend, full of pool time and a boat ride on the lake. Pax loved the boat and fell asleep twice to the sounds of it all!

Also, Pax is really talking a LOT lately and putting 4/5/6/7 words together. Sometimes, he is just like his Momma, and won't stop talking! :-) One of my favorite thing he says lately is, "No want to, Mommy!" He uses a sweet voice when he says that, just not when he says, "No" on its own. Now, that, we can do without!:-)

We are going to work on potty training a lot more now that school is out, but he sometimes will tell you that he has to go, and will actually go. He is wearing pull ups more and more.

Well, that's it for now. At least you understand where I've been and where I'll be:-)
Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!!
