Buddies--taken by Jake

Just like old times, we spent Memorial Day weekend with the Destin Divas crew.  Instead of Destin (like in  the old days), we headed down to St. Simons/Brunswick to spend the weekend at the beach.  Michele and Dave now live in Brunswick, so we took the opportunity to go visit them.  We even threw Liz, their daughter, a wedding shower.  It was fun to be on vacation yet again with this crew!!  The kids have so much fun together and it reminds me of when my generation was little, and we would all play together!  Pax really got the hang of fishing and spent a lot of time on Dave's dock casting, reeling, and repeating!  Parker started letting go of things once he pulled himself up, and has really worked on crawling better.

One of the highlights of the trip was when we got back to our condo and noticed a rainbow outside. Mom and I took the boys out to see it, while Dad and Brad had gone to get dinner.  Once we got outside, we saw Jake and also noticed it was a DOUBLE rainbow!!  Since we quickly ran out of the condo, the boys weren't in bathing suits, but that sure didn't stop them!!!!  They had a BLAST playing in the waves and getting soaking wet!!  They ended up taking a dip in the pool and also hot tub after swimming in the ocean. We couldn't stay out too long as a tropical storm was coming up and stirring up lots of sand, so we had to take the babies inside.  But it was fun and spontaneous, and we definitely made some good memories!

Another highlight was the fact that Sarah was also down there and staying less than a 1/2 mile away.  I can't believe we didn't take a picture of us, but we got to see her 2 different times when she walked over to see us--one of them for breakfast-yummy french toast courtesy of Brad!

We had a short, but fun trip to the beach.  I believe this is going to be a new tradition that we all look forward to!!
