Ice-pocalypse 2014

Jan 28 & 29, 2014

On Tuesday, jan, 28, it started snowing around 10:30 while we were at school. Even though it was really cold, I still took my class out to play in it for a bit. :)

At 12:15, we got an email that we we're dismissing early. By this time, the roads were starting to get bad, and there were already accidents. It took brad 1 1/2 hours to get from our house to pick up Parker from Sikes. (Luckily, he was working from home that day.). He ended up having to walk from mom and dad's house to get Parker in his little hooded jacket. Poor baby was freezing cold. I had all his warm clothes with me. :(

At about 3:30, Paxton, Kellie, Mia, Marisa, and Rick left school to walk to mom and dad's. We actually took one of my students with me and walked him home through the woods. Then, Kellie and Rick walked to Sikes to get Mara. The roads kept getting worse and worse, and everyone ended up stuck at mom and dad's house for the night! Many fun memories were made, and we were all thankful we were safe and sound and not stranded on the roads for hours upon hours.

The next day, we ventured out to play, and school was cancelled the rest of the week.
