How in the world?

How in the world is Parker already 9 months old???

This sweet baby is crawling around everywhere and is officially into EVERYTHING!!! He has been crawling on all 4's for about 2 weeks now.  He's not only crawling, but he's pulling up on everything around him.  He's standing and squatting, too.  In fact, I walked into the living room on his 9 month birthday, and saw him free standing!  There was nothing around him that he could have possibly pulled up on, rather he just squatted and did it himself!!  He's way too big!!  How in the world did he get here???

He also has 4 and 1/2 teeth.  :-)  That left incisor is JUST about to pop through!  We took him for his 9 month check up and learned that Parker B is a little guy.  His weight is in the 16th% (18 lbs 6 oz), and his height is 41% (28 in).  But, Dr. Lynne discovered that he actually had a double ear infection! Poor little guy!!  That explains why he wouldn't nurse at all!!  He had started biting, and I didn't know why.  Now we know that his ears hurt too bad to nurse!  He went 2 days with only nursing once in a 24 hour period.  Before the ear infections, he was nursing three times a day.

He has also started drinking from a straw and doing "Soooo Big!" anytime we say, "How big is Parker?"  Also, his hair had gotten so long, that we had to get his first official haircut before we could take these pictures.  Now he looks so big--even though he's not so big, physically!!!

He is a precious bundle of joy that will certainly keep us on our toes in the future months and years.  :-)  I think the last picture above captures this personality so much!!!
